We also offer a day boarding service. This is ideal for busy people who work all day and do not want to leave their dogs at home alone.
Always wanted a dog but due to your work commitments felt you couldn’t then this is the ideal solution. Much in the same way that parents drop their children off at the crèche drop your happy hound off at the Primrose day crèche.
The dogs are exercised and entertained during the day whilst you’re busy at work. No need to worry about them being bored or lonely and no wrecked house to come home to where Fido felt like re arranging the furniture for something to do for the day.
You can use this service on a daily basis or for that occasional hectic day.
Whilst in our care our primary objective is to provide a loving, safe, clean and healthy environment for them in our luxurious purpose built accommodation.
Each dog can romp off lead in our two exercise paddocks, one grass and one concrete.
Each dog is also walked on the property
All kennels are situated so the dogs can see what is going on around them which we find makes for a less stressful kennel experience. However, dogs can not see into adjacent kennels so shy dogs can be private and not fee intruded upon.
Each kennel has a sleeping area with bedding provided and a small run so that the dogs can go in and out at their leisure.
Kennels that stay cool in the heat of summer and warm and cozy in winter with heating provided.
Dedicated staff on hand to care for the dogs health and well being.
At the end of the day they are tucked up as late as possible ready for the next days adventures.
CCTV monitors the whole kennels. The owner and staff live on the premises to provide round the clock supervision, giving you the re-assurance and peace of mind that you dog is in safe and in secure hands.
In the unlikely event of your pet becoming ill, we are able to seek immediate and professional help from our veterinary practice, which provides us with 24/7 care. this surgery is an excellent modern surgery with up-to-date veterinary equipment.
Dogs are fed to your instructions or fed by us by our experience staff. Some dogs will inevitably loose weight during their stay but our aim to keep this to a minimum if at all. Some have actually gained weight whilst in our care must to the owners delight.
We are able to use our own food if you would prefer. We use a high quality food from CSJ. This food keeps are Great Danes in tip top condition so we are happy to recommend it.
If required, we will contact you or the person you have nominated in your absence, advising of your pets illness and about any necessary treatment. Our Veterinary practice will liaise with your pet's own vet for any previous medical history.
Included in the boarding price is the cost of veterinary insurance so should your pet become ill any veterinary treatment administered during their stay is covered and will not have to be claimed by you or on your own policy.
Selecting a boarding kennel that meets yours and your dogs needs is not easy. As with any major decision in today’s world you need to do your home work. There are good and bad kennels then there are GREAT kennels.
Come and judge for yourself. Get acquainted with us and the team that will be caring for your dog. Ask as many questions as you want. Discuss with us any qualms you may have about boarding. We will appreciate your frankness and interest.
We want to know all about your dog, for example his likes and dislikes as this can make the difference to your pet whilst you are away.
All dogs must have full and up to date vaccinations. In addition, our boarder must also be vaccinated against kennel cough. We recommend Nobivac KC, which lasts for 12 months. Intrac is also an acceptable kennel cough vaccination but only lasts 6 months.
Planning is essential as the vaccination should be given at least 2 weeks prior to boarding to ensure that there is no reaction to the vaccine. While not all boarding kennels ask for this vaccination to be given, we here at Primrose do, as kennel cough easily spreads among dogs and can be a very unpleasant illness, especially for the young and old.
We will need to see your dogs vaccination records for each visit.
